Plain English summary: Use My Resume Fix honestly. Only improve experience you actually have. Don't abuse the service or try to work around our limits. We'll always tell you upfront what costs money. Your data is yours.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of My Resume Fix ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and People Solutions LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Description of Service
My Resume Fix is an AI-assisted resume tool that helps job seekers identify weaknesses in their resumes, tailor content to job descriptions, prepare for interviews, and track job applications. The Service includes:
- Fix mode: AI-powered analysis of resume language, phrasing, grammar, and ATS keyword gaps
- Tailor mode: Job description matching and keyword gap analysis
- Prep mode: Role-specific interview coaching using STAR framework
- Track mode: Application timeline and outcome logging
- Career Vault: Persistent storage of your work history, bullets, and career data
- Build from scratch: Guided resume creation for users without an existing resume
- Export: Free DOCX and PDF download on all plans, at all times
We reserve the right to modify, add to, or discontinue features of the Service with reasonable notice to users.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
To use My Resume Fix, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Create an account using a valid email address, Google account, or LinkedIn account
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at jack@myresumefx.com.
You may only maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or abuse free-tier provisions is grounds for termination.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use My Resume Fix only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to create false or fraudulent resumes or to misrepresent your qualifications to employers
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service in ways not intended for human users
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
- Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions
- Upload malicious files, scripts, or content
- Use the Service to develop a competing product or to benchmark the Service for competitive intelligence without our written consent
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
Resume integrity: My Resume Fix is designed to help you present your genuine experience more effectively. Using any feature of the Service to create materially false or misleading resume content is a violation of these Terms and may expose you to legal liability with employers. We are not responsible for consequences arising from your use of AI-generated suggestions in ways that misrepresent your background.
5. Your Content and Our Content
Your content
You retain full ownership of all resume content, career history, and personal information you upload or create in My Resume Fix. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.
Our content
All aspects of the My Resume Fix product — including its design, code, AI prompts, feature logic, suggestion frameworks, and brand — are owned by People Solutions LLC or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our product or content without our written consent.
AI-generated suggestions
Suggestions generated by our AI based on your resume content are provided for your use in your personal job search. We do not claim ownership over suggestions generated from your content. However, the underlying AI system, prompt engineering, and suggestion framework remain our intellectual property.
6. AI Limitations and No-Fabrication Rule
My Resume Fix uses artificial intelligence to generate resume suggestions, keyword analysis, and interview coaching. You acknowledge that:
- AI suggestions may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation
- You are responsible for reviewing every AI suggestion before accepting it
- We do not guarantee that following our suggestions will result in a job offer, interview, or any other employment outcome
- The Human Language Score is an internal metric and does not guarantee that employers or ATS systems will evaluate your resume favorably
No-fabrication rule: Our AI is explicitly instructed never to invent credentials, job titles, companies, metrics, or experiences you have not provided. If you notice a suggestion that appears to fabricate information you did not provide, please report it to us. Accepting and using fabricated content in a resume is your responsibility.
7. Subscriptions and Billing
Pro subscription
The Pro plan is billed monthly at $15.00 USD per month. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain Pro access until then, and you will not be charged again.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you retain Pro access through the end of that month. We may, at our discretion, issue refunds in exceptional circumstances. Contact us at jack@myresumefx.com if you believe you have a valid refund claim.
Price changes
We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any change to the subscription price. If you do not cancel before the price change takes effect, you agree to the new price.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
8. The Free Tier
My Resume Fix offers a free tier with limited features. The following commitments apply to the free tier and are not subject to change without explicit notice:
- Export is always free. DOCX and PDF download is available to all users on all plans at all times, at no charge. This will never be gated behind a paid plan.
- Your Career Vault data is always yours. Downgrading from Pro to Free, or canceling a subscription, will never result in the deletion of your stored career data.
- We will not retroactively restrict features that were available to free users when you created your account without providing at least 60 days' notice.
9. Termination
By you
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. We will delete your personal data within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, abuse the Service, or fail to pay applicable subscription fees. We will give you reasonable notice before termination where possible, unless the violation is severe (such as fraud or illegal activity).
If your account is terminated for violation of these Terms, you are not entitled to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. All sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- Warranties that AI suggestions will be accurate, appropriate, or effective for your job search
- Warranties that use of the Service will result in employment, interviews, or callbacks
We are a small company. We work hard to maintain uptime and accuracy, but we cannot guarantee either. We will always communicate service disruptions honestly and as quickly as possible.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PEOPLE SOLUTIONS LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 USD).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU IN FULL.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless People Solutions LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Your use of AI-generated suggestions in a way that misrepresents your qualifications to employers
- Any content you submit through the Service that violates applicable law
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Informal resolution first
Before filing a formal dispute, we ask that you contact us at jack@myresumefx.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. We take concerns seriously and respond within 5 business days.
Binding arbitration
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Hartford County, Connecticut. Each party will bear its own costs unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.
Class action waiver: You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only. You waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.
Exceptions
Either party may seek emergency injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration. Claims of intellectual property infringement may also be brought in court.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account before the changes take effect.
