The short version: We collect what's needed to run the product. We never sell your data. We never use it to train AI models. Your resume and career history belong to you, and you can export or delete everything at any time.

1. Who We Are

My Resume Fix is operated by People Solutions LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). Our product helps job seekers identify and fix issues in their resumes using AI-assisted analysis, ATS keyword matching, interview preparation, and application tracking.

Data you choose not to provide

Most fields in My Resume Fix are optional. You can use Fix mode without providing a phone number, LinkedIn URL, or any personal contact details. We only require an email address to create an account.


3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect exclusively to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the My Resume Fix product
  • Power AI-assisted analysis of your resume content
  • Generate tailoring suggestions, ATS gap analysis, and interview coaching
  • Maintain your Career Vault across sessions and devices
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data to:

  • Sell, rent, or broker your personal information to any third party
  • Display advertising or share data with advertising networks
  • Train AI or machine learning models (including the models that power our product)
  • Profile you for purposes unrelated to the job search product you signed up for
  • Contact you for marketing purposes without your explicit opt-in

4. AI and Your Data

My Resume Fix uses the Anthropic Claude API to power resume analysis, suggestion generation, and interview coaching. When you use these features, relevant portions of your resume text and job description text are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response.

Important: Anthropic does not use API inputs and outputs to train their models by default. Your resume content is processed to generate your suggestions and is not retained by Anthropic for model training purposes. You can review Anthropic's data practices at anthropic.com/privacy.

We never fabricate experience, credentials, or metrics in AI-generated suggestions. Every suggestion is designed to improve how you describe what you have actually done. Our no-fabrication rule is a hard constraint at the product level — the AI is explicitly instructed never to invent facts about your career.


5. Who We Share Data With

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the product. Each receives only the data necessary for their specific function:

We do not share your data with any other third parties. If we add a new provider that accesses personal data, we will update this policy before doing so.

Legal disclosure

We may disclose personal data if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.


6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure, hosted on AWS in the United States. We apply the following security measures:

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher
  • All data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
  • Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only, using role-based access controls
  • Row-level security is enforced at the database level — your data is only accessible to your authenticated account
  • Authentication tokens are short-lived and rotated automatically
  • We do not store payment card numbers or full card details on our servers

No system is completely secure. If you become aware of a security concern related to My Resume Fix, please contact us immediately at jack@myresumefx.com.


7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Specific retention practices:

  • Career Vault and resume data: Retained indefinitely while your account exists, including after downgrading from Pro to Free. Canceling a subscription does not delete your vault data.
  • Application tracking data: Retained indefinitely while your account exists.
  • Usage and analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized after 12 months.
  • IP addresses: Anonymized after 30 days.
  • Deleted accounts: All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal or tax compliance purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records only).

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. This permanently and irreversibly removes your resume data, Career Vault, and application history from our systems.


8. Your Rights

Regardless of where you are located, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You can update your account information directly in your account settings at any time.
  • Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from account settings, or by contacting us.
  • Export: You can download your resume in DOCX or PDF format at any time, on any plan, at no charge.
  • Portability: You can request a machine-readable export of your Career Vault data.
  • Objection: You can object to processing of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
  • Restriction: You can request that we restrict processing of your data while a dispute is being resolved.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at jack@myresumefx.com. We will respond within 30 days. We will never charge a fee for these requests.

California residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of sale (which we do not conduct). To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your data is processed under the following legal bases: contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and legal compliance. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.


9. Cookies and Tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies necessary to operate the product:

  • Authentication cookies: Required to keep you signed in. These are session cookies and are deleted when you close your browser or sign out.
  • Preference cookies: Store your in-app settings (e.g., display preferences). These persist until cleared.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that track you across the web. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.

You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing authentication cookies will sign you out of My Resume Fix.


10. Children's Privacy

My Resume Fix is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.


11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (at the address associated with your account) at least 14 days before the changes take effect. We will also update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of My Resume Fix after the effective date of an updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the changes, you may delete your account before they take effect.
